Are you still Googling? I just placed my first Amazon.com order using saved up gift cards I won by using Swagbucks. Check it out, for about $20 of my own money I got this for my grand kids for Christmas this year:
Please keep in mind that I've been using Swagbucks since last February and I search a lot. However, I have learned some tricks that seem to maximize my own Swagbuck winnings. Even if you don't run massive searches, it's really easy to accumulate enough "bucks" to build a decent Amazon.com credit or get other gift cards.
First, I have to say to beware of anyone telling you that they bought a seriously expensive item "in no time" by using Swagbucks. Here are the only three possible explanations for a statement like that:
- They are blatantly lying.
- They have recruited a gazillion "friends" to help them. This would take a very large following as you are matched the first 100 "bucks" your friends earn. 100 bucks would be enough for two $5 Amazon gift cards.
- They won a Swagbuck sweepstakes.
On to my tricks:
Daily SearchesUse Swagbucks to get to your five most checked websites twice to three times each day, in the morning, afternoon and evening. I normally win two of the three times. These include your internet email accounts, your own blog, craigslist, ebay, etc.
Search those top five sites in the same order each time. I'm not sure why, but when I search in the same order, I win on the third or fourth search over 95% of the time. When I change the order, it sometimes delays a win for that round of searching.
Don't try a bunch of random searches in an effort to win. That seems to delay a win for a day or more.
Download the Swagbucks toolbar. There are two reasons for this:
- If it's convenient, you'll remember to use it.
- You will receive direct messages with swag codes or new swag code searches.
Keep an eye on the comments at freebie sites. Swag codes are often discussed in the comments of the big freebie sites. I haven't hunted for a code since I discovered this and I get them every time.

Invite your friends to sign up using your referral link. Once you sign up, you will have a referral link. From the Swagbuck site, click on "Promote" to see your link.
